BlockAds is a browser extension designed to block advertisements, trackers, and related unwanted content while browsing the web. Protecting user privacy is a core part of how BlockAds is designed.
BlockAds may locally process limited information about the websites you visit in order to provide its core ad-blocking and tracker-blocking functionality.

BlockAds does not automatically transmit your browsing history or the full URLs of websites you visit.
Information processed by BlockAds is used solely to provide and improve the extension's user-facing functionality, including:
BlockAds stores extension settings, protection preferences, and blocking statistics locally in your browser using Chrome extension storage.
These locally stored preferences and statistics are not automatically transmitted to the BlockAds feedback system or used to create a remote browsing profile.
BlockAds includes an optional problem reporting feature that allows users to voluntarily report websites where advertisements, trackers, or related unwanted content were not blocked correctly.
A problem report is transmitted only when the user explicitly chooses to submit it.
A submitted problem report may contain:
BlockAds does not intentionally include the full page URL, browsing history, account information, name, email address, or other directly identifying information in these reports.
Users should avoid entering personal or sensitive information in the problem description field.
Problem reports are used solely to investigate reported issues and improve BlockAds advertisement and tracker blocking functionality.
Voluntary problem reports are transmitted through Cloudflare infrastructure and forwarded to a backend service using Google Apps Script. Reports are stored using Google Sheets infrastructure controlled by the BlockAds developer.
Cloudflare and Google may process technical information necessary to provide these services in accordance with their respective privacy and security practices.
BlockAds does not use submitted problem reports for advertising, behavioral profiling, cross-site tracking, or sale to third parties.
BlockAds processes website information only when necessary to provide its user-facing advertisement and tracker blocking functionality.
BlockAds does not create or maintain a remote browsing history, behavioral profile, or advertising profile based on the websites you visit.
A website domain is transmitted to the feedback service only when the user voluntarily submits a problem report through BlockAds.
Normal browsing does not cause BlockAds to automatically transmit visited website domains to the feedback service.
BlockAds does not sell, rent, trade, or disclose browsing activity or personal information to advertisers, data brokers, or analytics companies.
Information voluntarily submitted through the problem reporting feature is processed using Google infrastructure solely for receiving, storing, reviewing, and investigating those reports.
BlockAds does not use your browsing activity to display targeted advertising and does not inject advertisements into webpages.
BlockAds does not use third-party analytics services to monitor or profile your browsing activity.
BlockAds does not use submitted problem reports for analytics-based advertising, behavioral profiling, or cross-site tracking.
BlockAds does not download or execute remote code as part of its browser extension functionality.
Communication with the BlockAds feedback service is used only to transmit voluntary problem reports and does not download executable extension code.
BlockAds is designed to minimize the amount of user information processed or transmitted. Extension preferences and blocking statistics are stored locally wherever possible.
Information transmitted through the optional problem reporting feature is limited to the information reasonably necessary to investigate reported blocking problems.
BlockAds does not intentionally collect passwords, payment information, authentication credentials, or other sensitive account information.
Local BlockAds settings and statistics remain in Chrome extension storage until they are changed, cleared, or the extension is removed, subject to Chrome's storage behavior.
Voluntary problem reports may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to investigate reported issues, improve BlockAds, and maintain the reliability of its blocking functionality.
